Two Tall Mountains

David Faced Two Tall Mountains: A Testament to God's Guidance

Dear Beloved Followers of Christ,

I pray this letter finds you immersed in the abundant love and grace of our Lord. Today, I am eager to share a profound insight into the life of King David, a man after God's own heart, as he navigated two towering mountains on his journey to the throne.

In the sacred scriptures, we encounter two towering characters labeled as "tall" - Goliath, the Philistine giant, and King Saul. Goliath epitomized physical might and external opposition, while Saul, once a mentor and later an adversary, symbolized internal struggles and earthly power.

In 1 Samuel 17, we witness David's unwavering courage as he faces Goliath, drawing strength from God's divine presence. Goliath, the seemingly insurmountable obstacle, fell before David's faith, guided by divine purpose. This triumph underscores our capacity to conquer formidable challenges through steadfast faith in God.

Furthermore, King Saul, though initially anointed and favored by God, turned away from divine guidance. As a consequence, God proclaimed in 1 Samuel 15:22-23, "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry."

Saul's disobedience led to his downfall on Mount Gilboa, revealing God's sovereign plan and divine justice. Through this, we understand that God, our ultimate Mountain Mover, orchestrates the removal of mountains in our lives when we trust and obey His will.

Today, I implore each one of us to embrace our faith as David did, knowing that God's purpose will prevail. Let us bear testimony to God's name as the true Mountain Mover in our lives, for He is the One who paves our paths, guiding us through every towering obstacle.

May our lives resonate with the testament of David's faith, and may we bear witness to God's love, grace, and omnipotence, shining His light on the only two characters labeled as "tall" in the Bible. Together, let us stand united, acknowledging that with God, we can conquer any mountain that looms before us.

In His name and for His glory,

Rise in Faith: The Triumph of Christ Over Satan, Witnessed and Confirmed

Rejoicing in the Great Fall of Satan and Standing Firm in Faith

Dear Beloved Saints,

Grace and peace be unto you from our Lord Jesus Christ, who has bestowed upon us His mighty power to overcome the forces of darkness. I write to remind you of the great fall of Satan, a fall witnessed by our Lord Himself, and the profound implications it has for our faith and journey in Christ.

In Isaiah 14:12-15, we read of the prideful King of Babylon, a passage often interpreted to symbolize the fall of Satan from heaven. It speaks of the haughty one's desire to ascend to the heavens, only to be brought low to the depths of Sheol. This narrative of pride and ensuing downfall mirrors the eternal destiny of Satan.

Ezekiel 28:12-19 further illustrates a similar fall, portraying the King of Tyre's pride and eventual downfall. Through symbolic language, it alludes to the fall of a being often associated with Satan, emphasizing the consequences of pride and rebellion against God.

However, the most vivid depiction of this fall is given to us by our Lord Jesus Himself in Luke 10:18, where He proclaimed, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven." This powerful metaphor reflects a swift and decisive defeat, demonstrating Satan's loss of authority and dominion over God's creation.

Beloved, this declaration from our Lord is a call to action for us today. It beckons us to stand firm in faith, knowing that Jesus, the Son of God, bore witness to Satan's fall. The victory over evil has been secured through Christ's sacrificial death on the cross and His triumphant resurrection.

We are reminded in Revelation 12:11 that we conquer the evil one "by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony." Let us testify to the power of Christ and boldly proclaim His triumph over the enemy. Our testimonies serve as powerful reminders that the adversary has been defeated, and we now walk in the victory of our Lord.

In Ephesians 6:10-18, we are encouraged to put on the full armor of God, that we may stand against the schemes of the devil. Clothed with truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, we wage this spiritual battle with unwavering faith and courage, knowing that we stand on the side of victory.

Therefore, dear Saints, let us declare with conviction that Satan's fall was great, and Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, witnessed it firsthand. He stands victorious, and we, in His strength, stand as conquerors. Let our lives be a testimony of this truth, reflecting the glory of our risen Lord.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit empower and sustain us as we march forward in faith.

In Christ's triumph,

Embracing God's Promise: Fulfilling Our Duty According to His Divine Will in the Perfect Ten - October 2023

Stepping into a Month of Divine Fulfillment and Abundant Blessings

Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we stand on the brink of October 2023, our hearts are stirred by the anticipation of aligning our lives with His divine will. This new month holds the promise of divine fulfillment and abundant blessings, inviting us to fully embrace His purpose and be witnesses to His mighty works.

In Hebrew numerology, the number 10, represented by the letter Yod, signifies completeness, perfection, and the presence of the divine. It beautifully complements our fundamental duty—to fear the Lord, walk in obedience, love Him wholeheartedly, and serve Him with unwavering devotion—capturing the essence of fulfilling God's will in its entirety.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 underscores this central duty, affirming that our purpose as believers is to fear God and follow His commandments diligently. This duty encapsulates our entire calling—to love, honor, and serve the Lord with the entirety of our being.

In Matthew 6:10, Jesus teaches us to pray, saying, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." This verse echoes the profound desire to align our lives with God's divine will, seeking to fulfill our duty in harmony with His purpose, especially during this sacred month of October 2023.

As we embrace the dawn of this new month, let us do so with a resolute determination to fulfill our duty in complete accordance with His divine will. October 2023 offers us a canvas upon which to paint our faith—a faith that manifests in prayers, acts of love, and an unwavering trust in God's promises.

May this month be a living testimony to our unyielding faith, as we stand united in our commitment to live out His divine will. Let us join hands, encourage one another, and journey together as a community of believers, eagerly anticipating the fulfillment of God's promises in our lives.

With hearts ablaze with faith and dedication, we enter this new month, knowing that by aligning our actions, prayers, and faith with His divine will, we shall witness His promises manifest. May our lives resonate as a beautiful melody of devotion to Him, seeking His will above all else.

The Voice of Understanding: Exploring Divine Wisdom Through the Word of Life

Listening to the Word of Life: Unfolding God's Thoughts in Christ

Dear Beloved,

Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the peace that surpasses all understanding fill your hearts and minds as we explore together the profound concept of the "Word of life." In this letter, I wish to delve into the depths of this term and share its implications for our faith journey.

As we open the Gospel of John, we encounter the awe-inspiring declaration: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1, NIV). Contained within these words is a revelation that transcends human comprehension. The Word is more than communication; it is the living expression of God's divine nature.

Consider our own human experiences. Often, our thoughts remain veiled within our minds until we find the words to convey them. Similarly, the profound thoughts, intentions, and nature of God remained enshrouded until the appointed time when they were unveiled through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Word of life.

Reflect on this: much like we cannot understand one another's thoughts until they are articulated, we could not fully grasp God's intentions until He spoke through the living Word, Jesus Christ. Just as we await the moment when we share our innermost thoughts with others, the world awaited the full revelation of God's thoughts through His incarnate Son.

Now, ponder this: Jesus is not only a messenger of divine communication but the embodiment of God's thoughts and life itself. His teachings, His actions, His sacrifice—all embody God's articulate expression of love, redemption, and the promise of eternal life. This realization beckons us to a critical call to action.

Let us center our hearts and minds on the Word of life, Jesus Christ. Let His words resonate within us, for they are life and spirit (John 6:63). As we do this, we are invited into an intimate relationship with the Divine Mind—the very essence of God's thoughts and intentions. Through Jesus, God's Word made flesh, we gain access to the profound wisdom of His plan.

Dear friends, I encourage you to immerse yourselves in the Word of life. Meditate on His teachings, and let His truth transform your hearts and minds (Romans 12:2). Let the significance of "the Word" echo in your souls, reminding you that God's thoughts are revealed through Jesus, who invites us into the abundant life found solely in Him.

May the Spirit of wisdom and revelation enlighten the eyes of your hearts (Ephesians 1:17-18), as you journey with the Word of life. For in Him, we discover the fullness of God's thoughts, the essence of eternal life, and the profound connection that bridges our finite minds with the infinite wisdom of our Creator.

In the name of our eternal Word, Jesus Christ,

The True Meaning of Hallelujah: A Call to Praise the Name of God

04SEP2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

Grace and peace be with you all. Today, I write to you as we gather in the spirit of unity and faith to delve into the profound and sacred meaning of "Hallelujah" - a word that has echoed through the ages as an expression of our heartfelt praise to the Almighty. As we explore this word, let us gain a deeper understanding of why believers continually lift their voices in praise to the Name of God.

**Hallelujah**, a word rooted in the very heart of our faith, can be found throughout the pages of the Holy Scriptures. It is a Hebrew expression that essentially means **"Praise the Lord!"** It is a command, an imperative to exalt and magnify our Creator. In our praise, we are invited to:

1. **Praise God for His Greatness:** In Psalm 150, we are called to praise God in His sanctuary, in the heavens, for His acts of power and surpassing greatness. (Psalm 150:1-2)

2. **Praise God with Instruments and Voices:** We are encouraged to praise Him with musical instruments, with singing and dancing, with all that we have and all that we are. (Psalm 150:3-5)

3. **Praise God for His Salvation and Glory:** In Revelation 19, we witness heavenly hosts declaring "Hallelujah" as they recognize God's salvation, glory, and power. (Revelation 19:1-6)

As we reflect on the meaning of "Hallelujah," we come to understand that it is a profound act of worship, gratitude, and exaltation. It acknowledges the greatness of our Lord and His wondrous works in our lives. Our praise is a response to His love, mercy, and faithfulness.

But why do we, as believers, continually raise our voices to shout "Hallelujah"?

Beloved, we do it because in Christ Jesus, we have received salvation, redemption, and the promise of eternal life. We praise the Lord because He is the source of our strength, our hope, and our joy. We shout "Hallelujah" because, in doing so, we proclaim His mighty deeds to the world and inspire others to join us in worship.

Therefore, I implore each one of you, my dear Brothers and Sisters, to embrace the true meaning of "Hallelujah." Let us not only say it with our lips but declare it with all our hearts. Let us shout "Hallelujah" in our homes, our churches, and our communities, spreading the message of God's love and grace to all who will hear.

In Christ Jesus, let us lift our voices in unison and with one accord, giving thanks, glorifying His name, and making known His salvation to the ends of the earth.

In Christ Jesus,

Embracing the Ninth Month September: A Season of Transformation

Signifying the End of One Chapter and the Dawn of a New Era in Christ

Dear Believers in Christ Jesus,

Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we gather together in the ninth month of 2023, I am reminded of the biblical significance of the number nine - a number that often symbolizes the completion of a significant event and the beginning of a new phase in our story. Just as the consecration of the tabernacle reached its culmination on the ninth day, and Jesus cried out on the ninth hour of His crucifixion, we find ourselves in a season that signifies the end of one chapter and the dawn of a new one.
In the story of the tabernacle, the eighth day was a day of preparation and consecration, and then, on the ninth day, the tabernacle was fully operational, and the glory of God appeared. It was a moment of fulfillment and the manifestation of God's divine plan. Similarly, when Jesus cried out on the ninth hour, it marked the completion of His earthly mission, the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation, and the dawn of a new era in God's redemptive plan.
Beloved, I believe that the ninth month (September) of 2023 is a season for change and transformation in our lives. It is a time to reflect on the significant events and stages that have brought us to this point and to embrace the new phase that God is leading us into. Just as God's glory filled the tabernacle, may His presence and blessings overflow in our lives as we step into this new chapter.
I encourage each one of you to take a moment to seek God's guidance for your own life during this season. What is He calling you to complete? What new beginnings is He orchestrating for you? As we approach the end of 2023, let us prepare our hearts and minds to embrace the changes and opportunities that God is placing before us.

In His service,

JK. Woodall, Ph.D.
